What is a Can-Do Fair?

This fair celebrates life skills: useful work, camaraderie, contribution, cooperation, and the courage to try new things. Children emerge from the fair bursting with enthusiasm for practical tasks with the skills to contribute in useful ways. They have a strong sense of purpose as they work creatively to accomplish tasks.

As a result of the fair, children will:

  • Become increasingly competent
  • Cooperate with others respectfully
  • Gain an increased sense of belonging
  • Become better at encouraging themselves and others
  • Grow in their level of social interest, appreciation, and reciprocity

This fair gives the win-win experience of helping parents and children grow closer as they learn how to work side by side.
